Vulcan Sim Racing Weekly – Edition #4: A Lick of Fresh Paint

Welcome back to Vulcan Sim Racing Weekly! A lot of off track changes to cover, so let’s get started!

The first big off track announcement is that we have two new Vulcan partners! The first, Race Anywhere, is a sim racing equipment manufacturer and are dedicated to providing the best sim racing equipment for the lowest prices and have a special focus on exemplary customer service. Our other new partner is Voppzy, an iRacing painter who is currently working on giving the entire Vulcan fleet a lick of paint! The Vulcan Sim Racing Ferrari 488 GT3, Ferrari 488 GTE and Audi R8 GT3 are the first to be painted and they look absolutely stunning!

Ontrack, however, we managed to get a podium in Saturday’s ERO 12hrs of Le Mans! After a commanding start, the crack team comprised of Lucas Adam, Luke McKeown, Mo Janko and Callam Brant took it in turns to blast around the track, keeping hot on the heels of second place Core Motorsports and first place Buttler-Pal Motorsports until with only a handful of hours left, a technical issue caused the #213 Vulcan Ferrari 488 GTE to spear off the track at Muslanne and clout the barrier. A brilliant recovery drive followed where the team managed to pilot a damaged car very well for the next three hours and even when caught and passed by 4th and 5th, the Ferrari stuck to the back of the two Porsches battling furiously until a massive crash on the Mulsanne straight crashed them out of the race, with only 15 minutes to go the Ferrari 488 swept by and went on to claim P3, pushing them up to P5 in the championship! It wasn’t easy, but the performance shown was one of true Vulcan spirit.

In other league races, Dom Forster wrapped up the final round of the CXR league coming home P12 from a P18 start. He finished P10 in the overall standings after a strong season of consistent finishes.
