Jason Hodgson joins the team!

This evening, Vulcan welcomes a new driver to its race team! It’s nobody else than the experienced iRacing driver Jason Hodgson, a specialist in the Ferrari 488 GTE and GT3, who brings a high level of consistency and quality setups to the team, traits much welcomed in the endurance sim racing community.

“I am really excited about becoming a Vulcan team member and am really looking forward to racing with the guys in the Vulcan Sim Racing team, as I’m someone who loves racing GT cars. Vulcan Sim Racing has a number of fast GT guys who can help me get quicker! Vulcan Sim Racing has a great team Dynamic with strength in depth throughout the team, and this is a challenge I am really looking forward to and I can’t wait to get going!”

Jason Hodgson

Jason joined iRacing back in 2018 and since then has raced in many endurance events for his previous team Altitude eSports, being impressively consistent and clean. He also raced the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2020 with Luke McKeown and Mo Janko just before they joined us themselves. Having also dipped his toe into league racing, Jason will be a big presence in leagues Vulcan will be running and will be appearing on broadcasts in our Vulcan colours very soon, so keep an eye out for him! Jason has previously made a one off appearance in Petit Le Mans, coming in as a last minute emergency replacement for Steven Norman, whose wheel promptly died days before the race. He made a stunning effort to bring a battered car to the finish line and despite a finish outside the top 10, he bonded very well with the team and made a superb setup for the race.

“Jason has been around for a while now and we are delighted to finally have him join Vulcan. He has an amazing racecraft and knows a great deal about setups which is a rare trait to come by these days! He’ll make a fantastic addition to the team I’m sure.”
